This ultra smooth and creamy porridge is a wonderfully gentle introduction to the world of food and my daughter adored it from her first mouthful.
Combos: add 1 x portion creamy banana or easy peasy mango to make it a little more interesting
BLW Tip: thickly slice some mango or banana - place on the highchair tray while your baby is eating and see how they touch, play and potentially pick up the wedges. Its a great way to get them used to using their gums to mush down food before they get any nashers.

Makes 7 x 25g portions
20g porridge oats
240ml baby's usual milk

Place the porridge oats in a spice or coffee grinder and blitz down into a fine powder. Place in a small saucepans with the milk and bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer for 8-10 minutes stirring frequently. It shouldn't require pureeing but if you feel the texture is a little too rough still then blitz down in a food processor.
